Can't get to any eepsites

No matter what .i2p link I try, I get page cannot be displayed and yahoo search engine comes up with useless stuff.

Not getting any jump links.

sounds a bit like you did miss setup the http proxy for your browser.
Go into browser settings, and setup a http proxy to 127.0.0.1 port 4444 for http/https traffic, exclude 127.0.0.1/localhost traffic.
